Park 4 is by far the most spotter-friendly park in Luqa. It is where the annual airshow is held, and it is used mainly as long-term or overnight parking for larger aircraft - so it is common to have freighters or chartered airliners in this area.

There are a number of slots in the fence for the convenience of spotters, so shooting through the fence is not a problem. Moreover, there is a boundary wall on the other side of the perimeter road, and you can climb on this wall to take your shots above the fence, with no problems.

The floodlights on the Park are exceptionally good, but if your camera is an earlier-generation digital camera (even a Nikon D70, I'm afraid), you will have to adjust the wight balance to compensate for the sodium lighting, which is very warm.

The only constraint of Park 4 is that the perimeter road is not at the same level, and if aircraft are parked at the Eastern part of the park, you will need a ladder, otherwise the undercarriage will not be visible.

Lens Range is from 70-200mm.
