Although rarely used, Runway 05's treshold is an excellent location to photograph light aircraft, which seem to prefer this runway due to its proximity to the General Aviation parking.
Getting there by foot is only for experienced hikers, as you will have to walk the full length of 24/06 to get there!
Ladders come useful if you want to get a nice sideview, otherwise you're limited to a low-angle shot of the aircraft on finals, from the road.
In the evening, it is a good position for silhouette shots, always if you actually get an aircraft landing!
However, by moving from one side to the other of the runway, the sun shouldn't be too much of a problem.
